In this house, you can see many cultures and art of Torajanese.
One of most visited location in here is Londa. It’s located about five kilometres in the south of Rantepao. Londa is a fantastic place which has two cave for burial. The villagers here has a good art and carving skill, that’s why this a right place for you who wanna buy some souvenirs.
Here the place you can see more than fifty stone in a circle which has four trees in the centre. From this place, you can see the view of Rantepao Tana Toraja and the valley around it. The best time to visiting Batutumonga is in the morning. When morning, this place is wrapped by white clouds and fogs, you’ll feel like flying above the sky. Batutumonga is the best place for you who wants to relax and enjoy the view.
5. Rambu Solo
People in Toraja believe the real life is happening in the afterlife, that’s why they are welcoming the death with a huge celebration. This ceremony called by Rambu Solo. In this ceremony, there are plenty of buffalo will be sacrificed, then the meat is served to the guest as a Makale food. The big of funeral ceremony depends on castes system. The burial sites in Toraja also worth to visit, because it’s unique. People in there are buried in a cave or cliff wall.
